Repsol Edition CBR250R

I found this picture trawling the internet. Not sure if it will ever get released but I bet they mght be some interest!

New Helmet - KBC VR2 (VR-2)

I have invested in an old school KBC VR-2 Repsol Helmet. I have upgraded the visor brackets to the VR-2R and added a genuine KBC light smoked visor to finish the look. This visor has pinlocks for tear offs too. I contacted KBC and was informed that this was only ever sold in North America.

Had a nice couple of days so took the bike out. Here is a nice pic of the bike after a quick clean.

What a fantastic start to the season! Casey leading the championship and proving he is still a force to reckoned with. Well done to Dani who managed third place after battling with an old inury during the later laps. Roll on Jerez. I am sure this will prve to be equally entertaining.

New PCV firmware and Powercommander software

I have noticed that Dynojet have released of their power commander software and
a firmware update for the Powercommander V (PCV) Version V0.1.5.5. It states "Added support for the dual channel O2 Optimizer adjustment, Added communication strings for the Ignition Module, Added support for in-field fuel adjustment (when used with a LCD-200)"

Fitted some R&G bar end sliders

I bought some R&G bar end sliders a few weeks ago to bolster the protection of the bike. I decided these would look better if they were colour matched to the bike. So here they are in orange.

Titanium Domed Nuts have arrived!

I received the Domed Nuts today. These weigh just 2 grams each and are a work of art. The standard nuts weigh 3.7 grams each.

does offer them. Click here to visit the site. Honda used domed
nuts for fixing the mirrors to the bike.

Powder coated R&G Bar end Sliders

I bought a set of R&G bar end sliders for the bike. I decided to get them powdercoated to match the bike. Keep an eye out for them fitted very soon! The standard part number is BE007BK

Repsol Team on track at LOSAIL QATAR

The three Repsol Honda riders returned to the track today in Qatar for the first day of the final winter test before the start of the 2011 Championship

The team arrived at the Losail circuit on Friday, with Japanese members narrowly missing the devastating earthquake that struck Japan the sameday. As a mark of respect, all three riders wore a black armband in mourning to show compassion for the terrible disaster that has affected so many people.

Dani Pedrosa, Andrea Dovizioso and Casey Stoner all continued development work on the RC212V, each focusing on specific attributes to their machine. Pedrosa finished the session with the fastest time of 1'56.271 which he set on lap 28 of 41, during the course of the evening he tested the 2011 suspension and worked on engine mapping settings.

Stoner, having made a decision on his final chassis in Sepang, tested different rider positions and worked on race set-up, his fastest time set early in the session on lap 13 was 0.143 off Pedrosa. Dov…

Casey Stoner came back home satisfied about the results obtained in the Sepang tests. After some days resting and thinking already in the approaching start of the Grand Prix season, the Australian rider is optimist about the tests in Qatar, where the last tests of the preseason will take place before the start of the MotoGP World Championship.

“Well, the day before, when we finished the job, we were aware that the next day in the morning we would be able to set a time under two minutes. In Sepang the track is usually at its best in the morning, but I do not usually feel at 100% in the first laps, I prefer to set my fastest time at the end of the day. Andrea Dovizioso faces the last 2011 preseason tests in Qatar, at Losail Circuit – March 13 and 14 –, before the start of the World Championship, confident of his possibilities in the fight for the championship. Proud of the progress made by his Repsol Honda RC212V 2011, the Italian foresees one of the most closely-fought MotoGP seasons of the last few years.

This weekend, the last preseason tests before the first race of the World Championship will take place in Qatar. Which do you think will be your position in the battle for the championship?

“I believe we can think about the championship because we have many possibilities to get it. The situation now is that I am not so fast as Dani [Pedrosa] or Casey [Stoner], specially in setting fast laps, but also a little bit in race pace. The Repsol rider, satisfied with the official tests held at Sepang, faces the last training sessions in Qatar before the start of the Championship

The start of the championship is approaching and Dani Pedrosa as well as his team mates of the Repsol Honda Team, Casey Stoner and Andrea Dovizioso, showed that they are the MotoGP competitors in better shape during the preseason. The Repsol rider is confident of his and his bike’s chances, after winter tests in which he has suffered none of the physical or technical problems he had had in previous years.

From the first test in Valencia in November 2010 until the last tests held at Sepang, where have you improved the most with your bike?

“Basically, the bike has not changed so much, so what we tried to do is to improve it in the most critical areas, such as the braking or the electronics”.

Getting the bike ready for Spring.

  Well winter appears to be behind us and it's time to do the regular start-up of the bike and make sure its ready for the next few months of riding. Sadly the weather dictated that there would be no riding today.

Recieved my R&G Rear wheel spindles.

    I finally sourced a set of rear wheel spindles for my bike. These compliment the many other R&G parts on the bike to protect it.
